Every year, Fruita plays host to a number of truly unique festivals in Colorado! We celebrate fun with a variety of classic and unique events from the Hometown Christmas and the Fruita Fall Fest, to the red rock classic Fat Tire Festival, and the unusual, bizarre and very humorous "Mike the Headless Chicken" Festival. Every year the fun just grows at these exciting events. We have lots of sunshine and friendly smiles awaiting you!
Start off the 2009 mountain bike season the right way with the 14th Annual Fruita Fat Tire Mountain Bike Festival! From April 23th to the 26th, join us in Fruita for a weekend of spring riding, good friends, and the famous Beer Garden. Throw in a week full of group rides, parties and live music, and you won’t want to miss out on any of the fun!

information on issues important to farming
and ranching; i.e., fencing, livestock
management, water use concerns, weed and
pest control, seed and fertilizer information,
and proper landowner etiquette. Vendors from

Ascent Productions, Inc is excited to bring you the Western Colorado Triathlon at Highline State Park, September 19, 2009. This is a USAT sanctioned course that will include a .9 mile swim, 24 mile road bike and 6.2 mile trail run. Fruita Fall Festival

Originally a harvest festival beginning in 1910. It's now a bluegrass venue at Circle Park has been a main attraction for many years. Today this is the BIG One in Fruita.
There is much to do and see. With a newly added Civic Center Pavilion stage, additional live music can be enjoyed which features a variety of high quality music, from country, to blues and funk.
A BIG Fruita event with a parade, carnival rides, and over 150 vendors of every description, including food, clothing, arts and handcrafts, and the unusual.
An award winning festival, (Best of the West Award, for Best Local Festival of Event, years 2000 & 2002). The BOW awards are based upon a Daily Sentinel readership survey, and presented by the Daily Sentinel. |

Rim Rock Marathon

On November 14, 2009 Ascent Productions, Inc is producing the Rim Rock Marathon! Do not miss this epic event as it travels from Grand Junction to Fruita, CO. The course winds its way through paved roads in the Colorado National Monument and provides one of America's most scenic runs. The course takes you from high desert through red rock canyons, majestic mesas and towering rock monoliths down to the finish location at James M Robb State Park.
